Registration & Check In:
Registration & checkin begins at 7:00 am at the ERBA parking lot near the intersection of Routes 133 and Route 22. Check In tables will be located inside the Essex Ship Building Museum near the boat ramp.
Vehicles may be parked in the lot while unloading boats and equipment. However, YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE PARKED IN THE ERBA PARKING DURING THE EVENT. YOU MUST MOVE YOUR VEHICLE AS SOON AS YOU HAVE UNLOADED YOUR GEAR! Parking is available behind Woodman's Restaurant on Route 133 approx. 1/4 mile from the launch area, see Logistics Map at right - plan accordingly!) -
Parking Update - TBD - 3 Lots Available
-Police Station - Parking directly behind the Police Station this year is available. There is also parking past the Police lot beyond the tennis courts in a dirt lot, see map
-Woodman's Rest - Parking is available behind Woodman's like years past, except they have asked that we park in the rear of the lot, back towards the building at end of lot, see map.
-Essex Marina - Parking is available at the Essex Marina, the lot and boat ramp near the river you pass when heading to start/finish line, see map. To get to this lot, you need to drive about 1000 feet north/west from the Shipyard on Main Street (Route 133), then turn right on Spring Street. In about 500 feet Dodge Street will be on your right. Follow Dodge Street about 1500 feet into Marina, go to right past 'boat washing area' and park in back of lot, see map.
Rest rooms are available next to the Essex Ship Building Museum. Additional rest rooms in stone building behind police station (See Logistics Map at right)
LOGISTICS CAN DELAY YOU! Please allow time to park, check in, and attend the skipper's meeting and launch. Boats can be rowed or paddled to the starting line from the Town Boat Launch area adjacent to the Ship Building Museum and Periwinkles Restaurant (See Logistics Map at right)
Please remain near the Museum end of the river until your class is called to the start (See Logistics Map at right).

9:10 - Fixed Seat Doubles
9:15 - Fixed Seat Singles (possible merge with doubles depending on number)
9:20 - Sliding Seat Racing, Men and Women (two heats)
9:30 - Sliding Seat Touring, Men and Women (two heats)
9:40 - OC1's and 2's
9:45 - Open Class, Paddleboards, Double Kayaks M+W
9:50 - FTK and SK Women
9:55 - FTK and SK Men
10:00 - HPK- Men and Women
Fees include T-shirt, race management, prizes and post race food & beverages.
Extra T-shirts may be purchased at the finish line if available.
The Cape Ann Rowing Club reserves the right to refuse to register any individual or boat. CARC may also expel or refuse any participant or boat before or during the event for lack of required equipment, unsafe operation, disregard for event rules, or unsporting behavior.
The Cape Ann Rowing Club is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization.
We donate excess registration funds to deserving non-profit organizations.
